DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

Kutir P.G. College is one of premium educational institution of Jaunpur district. Unlike other institutions of same repute, establishment of the science faculty in this college was done before the arts and other faculties in this institution. Department of chemistry has been established since the beginning of the college as a pivotal department. As running from 1971 to 1980, institution provided education up to the graduation level in science stream only. In 1973, college got approval from the state government and further permanently approved with UGC in 1976 (Ref: 8240/AP/UG/75-76; 26.8.1975).

Late. Dr. R.A. Mishra was the founder head of department and he got association of Dr. J.N. Tripathi in 1972. Dr. R.N. Mishra strengthened this department by his joining in 1976 at time of approval by UGC and further Dr. Amaresh Kumar joined this institution in 1995 as forth teaching pillar of the department. Thereafter, on increasing the teaching work load Dr. Chitrasen Gupta joined this department on newly created post. Dr. Vinay Kumar Pathak got associated with this department in year 2019. Besides these, the department facilitated by the effective teaching and research skills by Dr. Nagendra Pratap Mishra, Mr. Sanjay Mishra and Mr. Mahendra Prasad.

The department provides education from graduation, post-graduation as well as up to the Ph.D. level. There are very well equipped laboratories as well as library facilities for each level of study. Besides these, department is also enriched with various modern teaching techniques like- multimedia aids, audio-visual aids, 3D models, educational and calculation software, relevant e-books. As a result of such educative and productive infrastructures, department exhibits sound knowledge to students of Institute.
